A large rug that fills most of the floor space is ideal. You can place the rug underneath the night stands or let the rug extend a bit past the foot of the bed. The most important thing to consider is having a comfortable landing for your feet when climbing in and out of bed. Another economical solution is to add two runners on either side of the bed.

Here, you ll always want your rug to extend well beyond the table and chairs, keeping chair legs from catching on the rug when pulled in and out. An 8 x 10 rug is a common choice under a rectangular dining table.

This is Momeni s adaptation of Klimt s Wasser Schlangen Water Snakes , which I like. The colors are vibrant and the hand sculpting makes the design stand out very clearly. With a good pad, the overall thickness feels very good to walk on.
